lyrics

THE HURT INSIDE (S.Wall)

DOWN BY THE LAKE THE CASTLE WALLS
HOME FOR PIGEON, FOX AND CROW, AND A SILENCE
I TOOK HER HAND, SHE STARTED TO CRY
AS I MOVED IT DOWN TO TOUCH HER THIGH
FOR THE LAST TIME
HOW CAN YOU SMILE
WHEN YOUR HEART IS CRACKED AND YOU HURT INSIDE

I GAVE HER ROSES WHITE AND RED
I SCATTERED PETALS ON HER BED - SHE'S LAUGHING
SHE SAID SHE CAN'T STAND FLOWERS THAT'S TOO BAD
REAL LIFE ISN'T LIKE THE PERFUME AD.
SO I ATE THEM

CHORUS

I HAD A DREAM IT'S A BIT OBSCENE
ABOUT A DRONE AND A BIG QUEEN BEE, MAKING HONEY
HE'S IN THE HIVE SLAVING ALL HIS LIFE
WHEN HE DECIDED BEFORE HE DIED, TO DO SOMETHING

HOW CAN YOU SMILE
WHEN THE QUEEN IS DEAD 'COS SHE HURT HIS PRIDE
AND YOUR HEART IS CRACKED AND YOU HURT INSIDE
